My saga with Ellie and her digestive tract continue. I honesty think her puking is due to her eating strange junk. I found an unpleasant surprise this morning after 4 days free of messy clean up. I know this will be TMI but it had an inch and 1/2 piece of plastic in it!! I think it was from something we opened on Easter Sunday. Good Grief Charley Brown!
I changed her diet to a more meaty one, and more expensive and I think she likes it but it's taking her a while to get used to it. This time the grossness comes out of the other end. Will this kitty drama never end?
There are a couple clean up tips I have though. If you have carpet look for the Bissell Spot Bot. You put it on the spot turn it on and leave it to do it's job! It's been a life saver for us. The other thing is Baby Wipes. I don't know what's in them but they do a great job on little stains of any kind. They even worked getting out Strawberry Banana V8 juice from our ottoman. They're not just for babies anymore!!!
I am a military wife, a mother, a homemaker, a teacher, a counselor, a stress monster, a friend and a Tupperware consultant. I am not perfect but I’m me and I love my family and friends to bits. Pop in often to learn more about me and my family and our two crazy cats. I love to cook and try new recipes too. Good or bad I'll post about them.

Meet OREO
Oreo is our fat lap cat. He is a black and white Garfield. He lives to eat and sleep. If at all possible he'd rather be sleeping on you. I hate to say it but he is not the sharpest kitty in the litter but we love him all the same.
As he gets older he's getting fatter but he still has a spring in his step. He has always been our hunter so he earns his keep. We move quite a bit and he's worked hard clearing out our new homes of any mice or bugs that have made their homes in our house.
I do worry about his weight so I've made some changes to his diet. He's now on a premium kibble made by Blue Buffalo and his Friskies canned food. I am feeding him smaller portions of the canned food 2-3 times a day and I give him 1/2 C dry food in the morning. The dry food seems to last all day. I know he holds out for the tastier canned food. He is such a stinker though, he'll wolf down his food so he can finish before Ellie and nudge her off of her food. So not fair!

Poor Ellie
Ellie has always had a sensitive tummy but it seems that as she gets older it's getting worse. She is now known as The Puker! We are trying out new healthier food hoping that fewer carbs will benefit her in some way. We have noticed a change in her coat but she still pukes a lot. We took her to the vet and paid a fortune for her to tell us "I have good news and bad news. The good news is that we didn't find anything wrong from the tests. The bad news is that we didn't find anything wrong with her tests." We walked out with a medication to ease her vomiting reflex and hoped for the best. The medication really worked so we're going to order some on-line next payday. I hate medicating her but I don't want her to lose weight. A couple doses a week would probably help her out. We shall see.
I've done so much research and it seems that some kitties are just prone to vomiting and it's something we have to live with. UGH so not fun! But Ellie has always been the one to eat strange things around the house. Tim bought Elizabeth and I flowers for Valentine's day and a week later we found the greenery from the bouquet in her puke. We always thought she was the smart one. We may have been wrong about that!

Meet Ellie
Ellie is the smart one! I feel like a bad parent labeling her children. Poor Oreo. But it's true.
Ellie is about 12 years old. She was a birthday present from Tim when we were just married. The poor thing had a rough kittenhood. She was the runt of the litter and rejected by her mama. Tim's sister Kris found her alone in a corner in the garage and gave her mouth to mouth to revive her. As smart as she is, she obviously didn't suffer any brain damage. But, Im guessing that the resuscitation damaged her throat because she can't meow. Instead she makes this crazy guttural vibrating noise.
Ellie would bring us her puff ball after dunking it in her water dish. I don't know why she did this but we didn't like it when she'd wake us up by dropping the wet mess on our faces.
